About ILLIAS

The ILLIAS database was developed under the IUPAC project #2011-065-3-500. Although the best effort was done to include all available literature data, there is no guarantee of completeness and correctness. The database contains LLE data of binary systems consisting of an ionic liquid and a molecular solvent.

The database is hosted on a server owned by the Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals of the CAS, v. v. i., Prague, Czech Republic and maintained by the members of the Research Group of Thermodynamics of Task Specific Materials in collaboration with Université François Rabelais, Tours, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Queen's University Belfast, and Subcommitee on Solubility and Equilibrium Data, IUPAC.

Intellectual property rights

The database contains only data retrieved from open literature sources. The original sources are hyperlinked via dx.doi.org but they are not supplied by the database. A user must retrieve them directly from the publisher or borrow the journal from a library. We do not provide assistence with obtaining access to the original sources.

Conditions of use

The database is intended to be accessed by human users only. Access by robots and other means of automatic retrieval systems is strictly prohibited. The data are provided free of charge but registration is required. Registration is free and fully automatic.

The number of queries is unlimited and user's queries are not recorded.

Disclaimer

The data in the database are provided AS IS without any guarantee of completeness and correctness and without any guarantee of suitability for any purpose. Neither IUPAC nor the Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals of the CAS, v. v. i. will be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any incidental or consequential loss or damage of any kind incured as a result of or in connection with usage of this service, including, without limitation any liability for: loss of income or revenue, loss of business, loss of profits or contracts, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, loss of goodwill, wasted management or office time, and for any other loss or damage of any kind

Personal data

The database stores only the data needed for recovery of a forgotten password, namely the login, first name, surname, and e-mail address. The system uses a verification code to ensure the validity of the e-mail address. In addition, a session is maintained in order to enable search possibilities. The session data are not stored in any permanent database and are deleted whenever a user logs out or the session expires.

A user is unable to delete the account. The account is deleted either automatically after 5 years of inactivity or by the administrators upon user's request from the contact form. In order to prevent unauthorized requests for user deletion the user must be logged in when filling in the contact form.

The data are used for administrative purposes only and will never be made available for anybody else.

Communication between the server and the user is encrypted in order to secure transmitted information.
